The national magazine, Runner's World, featured an Azalea Trace resident who ran his first half marathon at 83 years old! The reporter spoke to George Goggan and the community's fitness trainer, Maryjo Louck, who ran the entire 13.1 mile race by his side.

Tim Ludvigsen Photography When he signed up for his first half marathon, George Goggans saw the race simply as a goal he'd been toying with for a few years. He didn't think anyone would find it so unusual that he'd want to participate, considering he and his wife, Emma, like to stay fairly active.
