Boca Raton athlete, 77, competes without use of legs

At age 77 and without the use of his legs, Edgewater at Boca Point resident Gary Elsner has learned to play wheelchair basketball and sled hockey. Soon, he is also going to try inline skating, only using his wheelchair instead.

Over the summer, Gary Elsner went scuba diving with DiveHeart, a skilled adaptive diving team that helps people with disabilities build independence, confidence and enrich their lives through scuba therapy. Dr. Oz's ShareCare interviewed Gary and the scuba diving team for a feature story on their underwater adventure in Key Largo, Florida.
